Planning Board · Meeting of October 1, 2026

North Attleborough's Planning Board continues a fraught NessFab special permit hearing to Oct. 15 amid noise and water-safety concerns. Chair Jason Gittle kept the public hearing open after peer-review engineer Bob Sykes of Pare Corporation reported two rounds of revisions resolved all but a few of 28 initial comments on the 20,000-square-foot stainless steel plant proposed for 405 Plain Street. Owner Lemoy Titus testified the move from Weymouth would double production with roughly one tractor-trailer delivery weekly, insisting "we don't operate a selfish company." Resident Marie Dixon pressed the board on a nearby school bus stop, asking, "How can I trust that when my children are standing on that bus stop, breathing in whatever's coming its way?" Member Greg Walsh recused himself from the item; a separate seven-lot Hillside Estates subdivision hearing was continued 3-0-1 after its applicants failed to appear.
