North Attleborough School Committee Endorses Two-Year AI Roadmap, Approves Updated Policy Sections

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH — June 9, 2026 — North Attleborough School Committee endorses a two-year AI roadmap and approves long-overdue policy updates in a packed June 9 meeting. The seven-member committee voted 7-0 to endorse a 12-step artificial intelligence planning roadmap developed by Curriculum Coordinator Tali Clyde and Director of Technology Kyle Kirschenbaum, with student and teacher AI guidelines targeted for the start of the 2026-27 school year and school-level pilots planned for spring 2027. In the same session, the committee voted 7-0 to adopt school policy sections A through I — a modernization effort years in the making, with four technology sub-policies in Section I carved out for further review at a July 21 subcommittee meeting with MASC. Superintendent John Antonucci announced that the North Serves Make a Difference Award would be renamed for departing member Sarah Stone, and confirmed the high school building project broke ground this week after nine years of planning, with the official ceremony set for June 12.
