NORTH ATTLEBORO — Zoning Board of Appeals approves four major applications in Thursday night meeting. The board unanimously granted a Special Permit and five variances to Rte. 85 Realty Corp. for a gasoline fueling station and country store at 563 South Washington Street, including approval for three signs and a pump island within front yard setbacks; unanimously approved a Use Variance for a veterinary hospital at 387 North Washington Street with conditions requiring pet waste receptacles and prior department approvals; unanimously approved a sign Variance for 404 East Washington Street with illumination restricted to 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; unanimously approved a side yard setback Variance for an addition at 105 John Rezza Drive; and unanimously denied a Special Permit for a home occupation small engine repair and maintenance business at 50 Harold W Bishop Boulevard after five abutters expressed concerns about noise, traffic, and neighborhood character.
