Veterans' Advisory Board approves prior minutes, updates ceremony plans

NORTH ATTLEBORO — Veterans' Advisory Board unanimously approved prior minutes and coordinated 2026 observance planning across three towns. District Veteran's Agent Scott Smith reported the Veteran's Services Office relocated to 451 Elm Street and confirmed Memorial Day ceremonies set for May 20 (Plainville), May 23 (North Attleborough), and May 25 (Wrentham). Lt Gen John Broadmeadow will address the North Attleborough ceremony.

Smith noted ongoing projects include a KIA/MIA street sign initiative, veteran's banners, and work on the Gold Star memorial at US Route 1 and State Route 1A. The board is planning a two-week Independence Day celebration for July 4-18.
