NORTH ATTLEBORO — The Traffic Study Advisory Group rejected a motion to fund a traffic study for truck restrictions on Fish Hatchery Road, following a resident's collision with an 18-wheeler that caused $3,500 in vehicle damage and a suspected wrist injury. DPW Director Mark Hollowell explained that truck restrictions require state approval and a $5,000 study plus an alternate-route application; the town's previous downtown attempt had failed. Hollowell committed DPW to adding road shoulder repairs to its spring maintenance schedule.
Chief Chris Coleman's motion, seconded by Captain Jason Roy, did not carry. The Group voted 3-0 to approve the traffic flow plan for 104 N. Washington Street.
