NORTH ATTLEBORO — Town Council refers eleven fiscal measures to Finance Sub-Committee. Vice President Keith Lapointe presided over the June 15 meeting in the absence of President Justin Paré, with six members present. Councilor John Simmons moved unanimously to refer Measures 2026-114 through 2026-124 to the Finance Sub-Committee for further review.
The referral includes a $750,000 transfer from Capital Stabilization to OPEB funding, authorization to repurpose Free Cash for critical HVAC boiler replacements at Community and Amvet Elementary Schools, amendments to three enterprise fund appropriations, creation of a Sewer Emergency Relief Fund, and appropriation of Free Cash to close FY24 and FY25 deficit balances.
