NORTH ATTLEBORO — Finance panel approves $21,500 transfer for senior center rent. The Town Council Finance Sub-Committee, chaired by John Simmons, voted 5-0 to send Measure 2026-056 to the full Council with a positive recommendation, authorizing the transfer from completed capital projects to cover the final month of rent at the current senior center while construction delays postpone the opening of the new facility. Town Manager Michael Borg said the funds, drawn from the Martin School ADA playground project, address an unexpected operating expense.
