Town Council approves senior center funding transfer and police election duties.

Town Council FY26 · Meeting of March 9, 2026

North Attleborough Town Council approves senior center and police election measures. The council unanimously authorized a 21,500 dollar transfer from completed capital projects to the Council on Aging operating budget, with funds from the Martin School ADA playground project covering final rent at the current senior center during delayed relocation. In a separate unanimous vote, the council delegated police staffing decisions at all polling places to the Chief of Police, a change prompted by recent state law placing authority with the legislative body.

The council also unanimously approved a charter amendment increasing Board of Health membership from three to five. Four additional measures involving capital reallocation and property transfers were referred to sub-committees for further review.
