Planning Board · Meeting of January 22, 2026
NORTH ATTLEBORO — Planning Board continues new high school hearing to February 5. The board reopened and then adjourned the public hearing at 1 Wilson W. Whitty Way on the major site plan special permit, with completion anticipated in August 2029 and the first peer review received this week.
Members fielded public questions on construction timeline, sound barriers, and blasting notification procedures. In separate business, the North Attleboro Housing Authority advanced a plan to expand parking at 34 Circle Court by 10 spaces using approximately one million dollars in state funding. The board declined to formally recommend a proposed zoning amendment prohibiting new and used auto dealerships but issued straw votes supporting new sales by special permit and prohibiting used dealerships requiring a Class II license.
