Planning Board approves high school site plan with fire department conditions

North Attleborough Planning Board unanimously approved the Level 2 Site Plan for the new high school at 1 Wilson Whitty Way, with construction beginning fall 2026 and move-in scheduled for August 2028. Chair Jason Gittle, Vice Chair William Blais, Clerk Greg Lorincz, Members Connor Tarr and Greg Walsh, and Associate Member Brandon Carr voted to condition approval on Fire Department sign-off, Traffic Study Advisory Group approval of a bus stop, and preservation of engraved bricks. The LEED Gold certified building will feature electric and geothermal heating and cooling, with 697 total parking spaces including twelve EV chargers.
The Board also voted unanimously to forward the Mixed-use Overlay Bylaw Draft to Town Council as part of the town's economic development strategy.
