Town Council FY27 · Meeting of September 10, 2026

NORTH ATTLEBORO — Finance Sub-Committee voted to recommend four union contracts to Council. The Town Council Finance Sub-Committee voted September 10 to recommend four negotiated union contracts, implementing standardized step increases of 3 to 4 percent in place of cost-of-living adjustments for the AFSCME, Police Dispatchers' Association, Professional Police Officers Association, and Firefighters Local 1192. Town Manager Michael Borg projected annual payroll increases of 3 percent, less than the town's average revenue growth.

The Police Dispatchers' contract includes a provision where the Town Manager agreed to file a home rule petition requesting reclassification from Group 1 to Group 2 retirement.
