Finance Sub-Committee advances two CIP reallocation measures to Council

Town Council FY26 · Meeting of March 11, 2026

NORTH ATTLEBORO — The North Attleborough Finance Sub-Committee unanimously endorsed two measures reallocating dormant Capital Improvement Program funds. Measure 2026-060 reallocates $432,087.10 from closed projects to complete the Health and Human Services Project at 451 Elm Street, with Town Manager Michael Borg explaining that immediate facility needs make the reallocation preferable to new borrowing. Measure 2026-061 redirects $642,503.42 (including four newly added items totaling $109,009.76) to the Capital Improvement Stabilization Fund, which currently holds approximately $8 million earning 4 percent interest.

Both measures advance to the full Town Council with positive sub-committee recommendations.
