NORTH ATTLEBORO — The Council on Aging unanimously accepted July and August monthly reports while identifying a $54,000 funding shortfall for a handicapped-accessible van after an $85,000 state capital grant proved insufficient. Chair Anne Lonzo oversaw the meeting with four members present and one absent. The Council scheduled a November meeting to address securing additional funding from free cash reserves, with the vendor agreeing to hold the vehicle price through November 30.
The Council also signed a contract for automatic doors at the Senior Center, updated congregate meal policies to require 10 participants, and scheduled a Medicare enrollment assistance meeting for October 5.
