Board of Assessors · Meeting of October 26, 2026
North Attleborough's Board of Assessors voted 3-0 to approve its October 19 minutes and reported progress toward finalizing 2027 property values. The Chief Assessor told the board the town received preliminary state certification Friday for its LA-4 values report and began a mandatory five-business-day public disclosure period. The office also flagged a sharp rise in exemptions, with 476 already recorded since July 1, including 78 senior-means exemptions, plus 15 full exemptions for veterans and gold star families still pending a tax rate.
The assessor estimated those full exemptions alone could exceed $500,000 against an $800,000 overlay budget. The board set a classification hearing for November 9 at 6 p.m., ahead of a Town Council vote November 23, and closed open session 3-0 to enter executive session on appellate tax cases.
